Sedation refers to a type of medication that helps you feel calm or go to sleep. At Green Door, you can have sedation medication orally, through IV sedation, or by breathing in a relaxing gas. We will help you select the sedation type that suits your needs.
You won’t feel any discomfort, and, with liquid sedation and IV sedation, you won’t even remember your treatment at our Moss Vale or Gregory Hills dental clinic. Depending on the type of sedation, you will either drift into a very calm state, or into a deep sleep. And you will wake up when your treatment is finished.
Sedation may make you a little dizzy and drowsy for the rest of the day. So you must not drive yourself home, or operate heavy machinery for 24 hours after treatment.
