Dr George Connell
Dr Connell is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. After graduating from the University of Sydney in 1993 with First Class Honours, he furthered his education and training with a Clinical Diploma in Oral Implants in 2003.
Dr George has a special interest in dental implant treatment and has been restoring smiles for almost three decades. After working for many years in a successful implant practice in Sydney, he now brings his reconstructive and implant dentistry expertise to Green Door Dental Moss Vale so you can experience exceptional care and results right here in the Southern Highlands.

FAQs
How often should I go to the dentist?
To keep your teeth in top condition, you should visit the dentist for a check-up and clean every six months. Why? Because small issues with your teeth can turn into more serious (and more costly) problems if left untreated. Coming in to see us regularly will ensure any oral health issues are found early and fixed ASAP — saving you time and money in future.
What can I expect during a dental check-up?
A standard check-up and clean appointment will take around 45 minutes. But if it’s your first visit with us, please allow up to an hour so we can get to know you and perfectly personalise your care. Dental check-up appointments include a comprehensive oral exam, a thorough clean and a strengthening fluoride treatment. We may also take x-rays to assess your teeth, gum health and jaw bone.
What health funds do you accept?
We accept all major health funds — just remember to bring your health fund card along to your appointment. We also have HICAPS for on-the-spot rebates.
How much does a dental appointment cost?
New Patient check-up and cleans at Green Door Dental Moss Vale cost $325. If you have private health insurance, your health fund may cover a portion of your appointment fee, depending on your policy.
We also gladly support the Child Dental Benefit Scheme for eligible families.

Do you offer payment plans or Afterpay?
We certainly do. Our Moss Vale dental clinic offers payment plans and Afterpay so you can get the treatment you need now and pay for it in comfortable instalments over time. Eligible patients may also be able to access their Super (learn more about the early release of Super here) to cover the costs of more complex treatments like dental implants and All-on-4.
Help! I have a dental emergency, can you see me today?
We allocate time every day for emergency dental appointments. Give us a call and we’ll get you in as soon as possible. If you’re bleeding heavily or you think you may have a broken jaw, please go directly to your nearest hospital emergency department. The closest emergency department to our Southern Highlands dental practice is Bowral and District Hospital.
I’m extremely scared of the dentist — can you help?
Absolutely. We have a range of sedation options, including IV sedation (also known as sleep dentistry), as well as an oral medication sedative or inhaler sedation to help you feel calm and comfortable during your appointment. Just talk to us about your concerns and we’ll help you find the sedation that’s right for you.
Do you have on-site parking?
Sure do! You’ll find plenty of parking right out the front, just off Willow Drive with easy access that’s also wheelchair friendly.
