Most patients take about a week off work to rest. Some pain and discomfort is normal for the first 3 days after surgery but easily managed with pain relief (provided).
All-on-4 dental implants are used to replace all of your teeth in your upper or lower jaw – or both.
All-on-4 treatment involves the placement of at least four (or sometimes six) dental implants into the jaw to secure a natural-looking tooth bridge in place. And the best part? The tooth bridge can be fixed to the dental implants shortly after surgery, meaning you can get back to smiling, speaking and eating with ease in a matter of days!
Come in for an implant consultation at our Gregory Hills dental clinic. Think of it as a friendly, no-obligation chat to discuss All-on-4, what to expect and whether it’s right for you.

The good news is that most healthy people are good candidates for All-on-4 treatment. Many of our All-on-4 patients come to us with:
Even those with significant jaw bone loss may be suitable for All-on-4 treatment. This is because the innovative implant placement technique helps to overcome bone deficiencies in the jaw, avoiding the need for bone grafting.
All-on-4 may also be suitable for patients with chronic health conditions that may have previously held them back from receiving dental implant treatments.
The best way to determine whether this treatment is right for you is to come in and see us for an implant consultation — book yours today.
Our All on 4 implants price starts from $25,000 per jaw for our Essential Care Package which includes a final tooth bridge made from acrylic over a titanium framework (no temporary bridge included – only suitable for some patients) or from $27,000 per jaw with the addition of a temporary bridge (some patients may need to wear a temporary resin tooth bridge during their healing period). Our Premium Care Package starts from $32,000 per jaw which includes both the temporary resin tooth bridge and final tooth bridge made from long-lasting zirconia over a titanium framework. Both fees include the consultation and implant placement procedure. The only other cost to consider outside of this fee is for sedation which is paid separately and may be partly covered by Medicare.
Concerned about costs? Don’t be! There are a few easy ways you can pay for your All-on-4 dental implant treatment. The beauty of All on 4 is that you can go from severely broken down, damaged or no teeth to a full set of (up to 12) functional teeth in just days!
Typically, the dental implants can be placed in a single day with the surgery taking around 3-4 hours. A few days after surgery, you’ll return to our dental practice to have your temporary tooth bridge fitted. You’ll wear this bridge while your jaw and gums heal and the jaw bone grows around the dental implants — this healing period is generally around 6 months.

Like all medical procedures, All on 4 does not come without some risks and potential problems. But you can rest assured that these complications are very rare and the All-on-4 treatment itself is one of the most successful dental procedures available.
When planned and performed by an experienced dentist, like Dr George Connell at Green Door Dental, All-on-4 dental implants have a very high success rate — around 95-97% (learn more about the All-on-4 success rate here).
Local anaesthetic is used to numb your mouth during your procedure so you can rest assured that you won’t feel any pain or discomfort. Most patients also choose to have IV sedation (a.k.a. sleep dentistry) during the implant placement procedure. With IV sedation, you’ll technically still be ‘awake’ but you’ll feel very calm, comfortable and drowsy. Afterwards, you likely won’t have any memory of the procedure. Our very own Dr Zoe Rodgers, a dedicated medical doctor with additional training in sedation treatment, oversees all of our sedation so you can feel assured you’re in very safe hands. Find more information about how IV sedation works and what to expect here.
It’s normal to experience some pain or discomfort, bruising and swelling for at least the first 3 days after implant surgery. This can be easily managed with pain relief, which will be provided. Keep in mind that eating will also be an adjustment during this time so be sure to prep plenty of soft foods, such as purees, yoghurt, smoothies, cooled soup, etc. We recommend that you take at least a week off work to rest and adjust to your new teeth.
With the right care, good oral hygiene and regular professional check-ups by your dentist, your new All-on-4 smile should last for many decades to come.
All-on-4 dental implants are made from titanium, which is highly durable and hard-wearing, so they can withstand pressure from biting and chewing just like natural tooth roots. Plus, titanium is also biocompatible meaning it works well with human tissue and bone. Over time, the jaw bone will grow around the titanium implant and fuse together, providing added strength and support for the tooth bridge.
The lifespan of your tooth bridge, however, will depend on the material it’s made from. A less durable material like acrylic, will wear down quicker and may need to be replaced after 5-10 years due to normal wear and tear. On the other hand, a tooth bridge made
from a premium material like Zirconia will be much more hard-wearing and long-lasting.
If you’ve been looking for the cheapest All-on-4 dental implants Australia (or perhaps even cheaper All-on-4 overseas), we have one word for you: BEWARE.
The experience of your dentist and the quality of the material they use are key to the success and longevity of your All-on-4 treatment.
If you find a quote for cheaper All-on-4, it could indicate that the surgeon does not have as much experience or training in this type of dental implant procedure. Lower costs may also mean that the clinic has cut corners elsewhere, like using lower-quality dental implant components from cheaper suppliers or sending their lab work offshore. While you may pay less for treatment, you may also end up with a result that looks unnatural and does not have the quality to last.
But this is not something you’ll ever have to worry about at Green Door Dental. Our highly experienced team is led by Dr George Connell, who has spent over three decades performing dental implant treatment and cosmetic dentistry. After graduating from Sydney University with First Class Honours, George undertook additional training to receive a Clinical Diploma in Oral Implants. This means you can trust your smile is in the most capable hands.
Plus, we only work with the highest quality materials and reputable local laboratories to ensure you receive the best results and long-term outcomes from your treatment.
